“Wayne Fenton Groundworks have carried out various projects for Piccolo Nurseries over the years. The most recent developments completed for us were large garden projects worth £65k. Wayne project managed the whole job. He helped from day one, with the design and gave great advice throughout all stages of the build. The project included a whole re-design of the garden, which included excavation of hardcore to level the garden, removal of large hedges, installation of a new ramp for our disabled entrance and replacement of stone stairs, a new wooden perimeter fence, wrought iron security gates, garden lighting and also the laying of our new lawn.

“We had a specialist company install the play equipment in the garden, but before and during Wayne liaised with them to make sure the groundwork was just right, to make this fitting of the equipment a smooth process.

“Due to the size of the project, it had to be carried out whilst the nursery was open. Wayne ensured a full risk assessment was carried out and adhered to and that all health and safety procedures were carried out, this enabled parents, children and staff to access the nursery safety during the time the work has been carried out. The workforce communicated with the nursery staff on a daily basis to discuss any health & safety requirements.
